Rue Flavoured Grappa, is instead a tribute to the Italian tradition of aromatic grappas. Ruta (R. graveolens) has always been used as a digestive remedy. Also for Rue Flavoured Grappa, the original distillate is Gemma Lepini enriched with a sprig of rue to achieve aromatizing. The rue confers the colours to the distillate that appears light green. This colour reveals the herbal and aromatic flavour of this distillate. The Rue Flavoured Grappa must rest in its bottle at least 6 months before being tasted, after this period the fruity and floral hints of the original distillate react with the herbal ones providing an organoleptic balance that gives roundness in the mouth to amplify them.
How to pair it
Slightly bitter in the aftertaste and very fragrant, it is ideal for meditation or after meals as a digestive. Also excellent to enrich a lemon sorbet.
